Jewish Meditation: An Antidote to 21st Century Static
Feeling scattered and overwhelmed? Yearning for calm in the swirl of to-do lists? What if a sense of calm and clarity were within your grasp and the path was based in Judaism?
Join Jewish Spiritual Director and meditation teacher Roz Katz as she guides you through practices that ground you, that offer spaciousness by clearing away mental clutter, that allow serenity and creativity to flow within you. Gain techniques that you can employ throughout your daily life to sharpen your focus and minimize mental “static”.
Jewish sources date back to Torah’s teaching that Isaac went out into a field to meditate and discovered his future life-partner Rebecca upon looking up from that state of consciousness. Bio-medical research on the practice of meditation in just the past twoyears demonstrates significant benefit to brain and cardiac health, increased mental agility and capacity for detailed recall specifically in aging populations. Heed the invitation to a quiet stillness much needed in our staccato world and nurture your soul’s spiritual growth. We are all beginners, in many senses; so if you are new to meditation, you are in good company. This four week course begins on Monday June 3rd at 6:45 pm.

Families That Sweat Together- Find The Pay Off!
Attention J Sport & Fitness Families the time is now to get active! I am calling on all J families and our J community neighbors to organize regularly scheduled family
“workout together” activities. Families begin by carving out specific times and days that your tribe can meet to get their sweat on! These organized family workouts will keep your group reading from the same page messaging family
fitness-wellness goals. Organizing physical activities for your loved ones,
can be as easy as a planned walk after dining,
a friendly game of freeze tag, shooting baskets to the tune of horse, or simply break out your dancing with the stars moves. Additionally, as the J’s group fitness director,
I am excited to announce that the J will offer a free family fitness yoga class every second Sunday throughout the Summer. That is correct get your team sweat on by joining us at the J. Get ready to Recharge your body, Reinforce your family bonds, and High beam your inner hero by discovering your household Zen. Come together, sweat together,
