If you haven’t tried a Yoga class at The JCC yet, there’s no better time than now!
My name is Debbi, and I am lucky to be a part of the best Yoga team at any fitness program anywhere in DFW. Before I even moved to Dallas permanently, I joined the J because the group fitness classes were over the top and I had so many choices. I was immediately drawn to Chinook’s Yoga class on Sundays and Mondays with his straight-forward style and inspirational motivation. He is one reason why I feel stronger than I ever have, and his classes were where I made some of my first friends here. An instructor like Chinook is perfect for the beginner because he gives you so much background in Yoga and keeps instruction simple so that everyone can build strength and endurance. He’ll even sneak in some stress-busting skills and moments of pure peacefulness in his class.
Additionally, the JCC offers Flow, Gentle, Hatha, and even an intermediate strong flow class. My path was to try them all and learn from our different teachers styles and talents. I hope you grab a schedule and open yourself up to the fun of Yoga if you haven’t already, or even try a new style. I know you can never learn it all in Yoga, but at the JCC, I’m practicing like I might and I’m having a ball!
